Next Thursday, on 10th Sept, at 19h00, we are focusing on Greece and the issue of refugees.
In Moria refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos, tens of thousands of refugees are still waiting under inhumane conditions. While Greece has long since lifted the lockdown and opened the borders to tourists, the lockdown in the refugee camps has been repeatedly extended. ARTE correspondent Mortaza Behboudi lived in Moria from March to August, and shines a light on conditions in Europe’s largest refugee camp. He documented the living conditions in the camp, recorded moving portraits of people and repeatedly asked about the responsibility what the sociologist Jean Ziegler calls the “shame of Europe ».
Producers: Mortaza Behboudi & Jonas Dunkel | ARTE Info.
Duration: 38 minutes.
After the documentary we will hold a talk with the film producers about their experiences and the conditions in the camp.
Come early so that you can interact with others and have a drink before we begin the film !
